Mrs. Hartney is an Instructor at the University of Hawai'i Manoa, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. She holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida and was awarded the certificate of clinical competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has experience in the outpatient children's hospital and private practice settings. She is a clinical SLP provider for University Health Partners of Hawai'i. Her areas of interest include: pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders, parent coaching, treatment of children with autism, use of speech-generating devices, and early childhood language (birth to three).
